The Big Muddy Speaker Series is hosted by a partnership with Missouri River Relief, Friends of Big Muddy, Friends of Lakeside Nature Center, Little Blue River Watershed Coalition, Healthy Rivers Partnership, Greenway Network, Columbia Fish & Wildlife Conservation Office (USFWS) and the Big Muddy National Fish and Wildlife Refuge.
Our goal is to increase knowledge of the Missouri River, its biology, history and commerce. Each month, another expert shares their knowledge with the public. All presentations are free, and each presenter is donating their time to the series.
We have been honored to have presenters representing the US Geological Survey, US Fish & Wildlife Service, Mo. Dept. of Conservation, Mo. Dept. of Natural Resources, the University of Missouri, regional non-profits as well as several local authors.
The Big Muddy Speaker Series is partially funded by a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Ecological Services Field Office in Columbia, MO.
Thanks to everyone whose hard work makes it happen!
