Columbia area "Wonders of Wildlife" Camp
The Wonders of Wildlife camp this year is being held at Katfish Katy's in Huntsdale on the Missouri River! The weekend event, May 1-3, is great for families, groups or individuals hoping to learn outdoor skills or more about the river environment. Missouri River Relief will be providing free boat rides on Friday.

Public comment period on Confluence project
As part of its habitat mitigation requirements, the US Army Corps of Engineers will be restoring approximately 1,118 acres of wetlands and floodplain habitat at Jones - Confluence Point State Park in St. Charles County, MO. The Corps has released its Project Implementation Report for public comment. Click here to see the posting» Public comment period ends on March 6, 2009. Missouri River Relief, Friends of Big Muddy and Big Muddy National Fish & Wildlife Refuge are proud to announce that our March 10 educational program will feature Big Muddy Refuge Manager Tom Bell. Tom will give a brief presentation on the past and future plans of the refuge, followed by a discussion on how you can be involved in the development of a Board of Directors for Friends of Big Muddy.

MRR hires new Director

MRR Director Jeff Barrow
MRR is lucky to have brought Jeff Barrow back to our staff. He will now be serving as Director, overseeing our Columbia and Kansas City programs. He's been a crewmember since our first clean-up and we're proud to have him back on board! Also, check out Jeff's book that he co-wrote with Chad Pregracke about Chad's story building the Living Lands & Waters River Clean-up Barge Crew, "From the Bottom Up".
