St. Charles - Missouri River Clean-up
Sat. Aug. 11, 2007

9:00am to 3:00pm
Because of Missouri River flooding in May, this clean-up has been rescheduled to August 11. You won't believe the trash a flood leaves behind...come join us as we clean it up!
The clean-up begins at 9 a.m. Volunteers are welcome, and will assemble at the pavilion near the Lewis & Clark Boathouse adjacent to riverfront Frontier Park in St. Charles. Boats from the Missouri Department of Conservation, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Missouri River Relief's own fleet will ferry volunteers to pre-scouted "trashy" areas of the river for clean-up. Other crews, including youth groups, will comb Frontier Park for debris and conduct a special clean-up along the KATY Trail.
It promises to be a great event in scenic and historic Saint Charles. Click here to register.
Here's our list of area sponsors and partners: Pat Jones, the St. Louis/Jefferson Solid Waste Management District, Great Rivers Greenway, the Greenway Network, City of St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau, US Army Corps of Engineers, Missouri Department of Conservation, AEP River Operations, Bass Pro Shops, Boeing, Inc., Missouri American Water, Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation, Ameren UE and Anheuser-Busch, Quality Inn, Waterways Council, Inc., and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
