St. Joseph Missouri River Clean-up 2010

We're excited to come back to this historic river town! It's been since 2004!
As part of the 150th anniversary celebration of the Pony Express, we'll be hitting the river to show this city still cares about the river that created it.

What we're doing
Boats will ferry volunteers to the river banks and islands to pick up trash that has washed up on shore. Other volunteers, including youth groups, will pick up trash along the banks, trails and parking lots.
What you get
Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, trash bags, gloves, reusable water bottle and lunch.
What to bring
Weather and work appropriate clothes. Long pants are preferred. Sturdy shoes or boots. Sunscreen and bug spray.
Directions
From the North: Head south on I-29 toward St. Joseph. Take Exit 56B (I-229 S toward Downtown/St. Joseph). After 7.3 miles, take Exit 7 (Highland Ave). Turn right on Highland Avenue. Take the next right on MacArthur. Follow the signs to the parking lot by the boat ramp.
From the South: Head north on I-29 toward St. Joseph. Take the exit for I-229 N toward Downtown/St. Joseph. After 7.5 miles, take Exit 7 (Highland Ave). Turn left on Highland Avenue. Take the next right on MacArthur. Follow the signs to the parking lot by the boat ramp.
